Chapter 1 A-M
APPLE & HERB STUFFING
2 servings Source:Poultry Seasoning Greats
-----2cupsCelery, sliced 1 ½cupsOnion, chopped
½cupMargarine or butter 1 ¾cupsWater, hot 1tablespoonInstant chicken bouillon
1cupSlivered almonds, toasted
1
12cupsDry bread cubes, about 16 slices bread 3cupsRed apples, coarsely chopped 1tablespoonParsley, chopped
2teaspoonsPoultry seasoning ¼teaspoonRubbed sage
In large skillet, cook celery and onion in margarine until tender. Add water and bouillon; cook until bouillon dissolves. In large bowl, combine remaining ingredients; add bouillon mixture. Mix well.
Loosely stuff turkey just before roasting. Place remaining stuffing in greased baking dish; bake at 350℉ for 30 minutes or until hot. Refrigerate leftovers.
NOTE: I use 1-3/4 cup chicken broth instead of hot water and bouillon.
