Jam ais , a u cour s de s 30 dernières années , les
autoroutes françaises n’ont atteint un tel niveau
de sécurité. À fin 2012, le nombre de tués sur le
réseau autoroutier (143) était en baisse de 26,3%
par rappor t à 2011. Ce résultat montre que le
niveau de sécurité sur autoroute est 5 fois supérieur
au reste du réseau. Il ne doit rien au hasard : pour
les sociétés d’autoroutes, la sécurité est un enjeu
majeur. Les actions de prévention menées par les
sociétés d’autoroutes et l’ASFA, dans la dynamique
de la politique du Gouvernement, y contribuent
largement.
Never, in the past 30 years, have French motorways reached
such a high level of safety. At the end of 2012, the number
of fatalities on the motorway network (143) was down by
26.3% compared to 2011. This result shows that the level of
safety on motorways is 5 times greater than on the rest of
the road network. This is not the result of chance: motorway
companies see safety as a major challenge. Prevention actions
undertaken jointly by the motorway companies and ASFA,
enacting Government policy, have made a major contribution
to this improvement.
