Jedox's Trailblazing Self-service BI Heads for CeBIT 2014

PR Newswire

Jedox, one of Europe's leading business intelligence (BI) and performance management (PM) software providers, is planning to take center stage at CeBIT 2014. It will showcase its Data First Modeling, whose ability to transform inventory data access holds enormous potential for companies.

Data First Modeling from Jedox allows users to generate BI and PM reports directly from inventory data. By letting users skip interim steps and offering easy access to inventory data, especially from Excel, it significantly accelerates the process. "With Data First Modeling, users can analyze data quicker and create what-if scenarios more easily. Forecasting can be carried out earlier and more reliably. This is self-service at its purest," explains Jedox CTO, Matthias Krämer.

Data First Modeling is the latest innovation from Jedox, whose vision is to transform Excel from one of the most-used tools in the BI sector into one of its most useful tools, with its easy-to-use software helping users to improve efficiency. "Data First Modeling lets even BI novices easily plan across departments, which massively reduces the total cost-of-ownership of rolling out the software," adds Krämer.

Another focal point of the Jedox 2014 CeBIT presence will be optimized planning. At the trade show in Hannover, Jedox BI experts will explain how, at the click of a button, users can "lock" and "unlock" various areas of planning functionality within its software and optimize their planning processes, such as evaluating revenue data by country.

Finally, Jedox will present new functionality for predictive analytics based on the R global programming language and environment. This predictive analysis functionality allows users to create forecasts based on inventory data, such as the aggregation of customer groups for certain criteria.

"We are planning to demonstrate that Jedox is a trailblazer in self-service BI and Excel optimization. We are looking forward to showcasing our innovative technology to existing clients and partners, and potential new ones, at the world's largest IT trade show," comments Jedox COO, Bernd Eisenblätter.

Visit Jedox at the CeBIT 2014 BARC Business Intelligence Forum, Hall 6, Booth A18. Also, don't miss Jochen Hessler, Jedox Senior Consultant, on Thursday, March 6, at 4:30 pm, on "Implementing Planning and Reporting Solutions Easily and Quickly - Even for Mobile End-User Devices". In addition to CeBIT, Jedox will be attending the Gartner Business Intelligence & Analytics Summit 2014 (The Future of Your Business: Transparent, Decisive, Personalized) in London on March 10 and 11. At this event, Jedox experts will demonstrate how companies can use BI and analysis functionality for more secure planning and the development of new business models.
