“The film of tomorrow will be an act of love.” With this remark, made in 1957, François Truffaut announced the arrival of a new kind of filmmaking in France - the New Wave. To coincide with the Truffaut retrospective organised by Ciné Lumière, the Médiathèque has brought together a range of documents (books, films, newspaper and magaszines articles) to throw a spotlight an this special period in cinema history.
