What's worse is several of these same business people think they no more should do any real-world networking, that is certainly to mention attend mixers or events within their neighborhood. They somehow feel that Facebook will provide. Really, so inform me, how is the fact that exercising for yourself so far? Yes, I was thinking so, and you've even hired a social media advertising consultant haven't you? Well, seeing because they and you also are so smart, where is all the organization that you were promised? What's the matter all those Facebookers aren't buying anything? Ha ha ha, what you require is to return to basics and join your chamber of commerce and do a little real pressing of the flesh, real-world networking. One small problem I see facing chambers these days is too many people actually feel that social online networking takes the place of real-world networking, it doesn't. Some chambers have jumped aboard too and they are generally promoting themselves via social media marketing. Check this outThese chambers usually are not even getting over to meet-and-greet, contact new company licensees, or contact new shop owners. In a town I traveled to the chamber hadn't canvassed the neighborhood area businesses in 5-years. They never sent an individual to travel out to the community and talk with all the current companies. Ends up that a lot of those companies didn't have any idea a chamber existed within their city. The chamber involved did however use a Facebook page with 500 friends, however it only had 20-active members roughly. Consider it. That's not likely to work. So, did social media marketing kill local chambers of commerce? No, but perception did, unfortunately like many perceptions social network sites for small enterprise falls flat at the conclusion of the morning. Of course, this isn't surprising, as Facebook is rather well financed and has many online presence and notoriety. Still, those who use it the majority are 15-30 year olds and are generally not the greatest number of consumers. Geographic area smaller businesses should realize this, and never forget that Facebook and social network sites is in an online world, not the real one, the main one where you need to pay the rent, employees, and make up a profit after the morning. Please consider all this and think upon it.
