Intro

In 1972, at the age of 25, Gianni Versace moves to Milan where he starts to work as a designer. In 1978 he creates his first collection, “Gianni Versace Donna”. During the Eighties his creativity as a stylist is widely acclaimed and recognized and he is viewed as an ambassador for Italian fashion throughout the world. The early Nineties denote a very significant phase in the history of the brand. It is during these years that the strategy of diversification begins to take shape through the creation of Versace jewellery and watches. Detailed collections which conveyedthe glamorous style of the Maison.

In 1996 an agreement with Franck Muller leads to the development of a limited edition range of jeweled watches made in Geneva. 1998 sees the foundation of Versace SA, an independent company set up for the production and distribution of all Versace jewellery and watches. In February 2012, due to the continuous developments of the jewellery collections,Versace decided to partner with a Jewellery leading Company; Samra International DMCC, an already operating company in Dubai with which Versace opened the first Versace Jewellery boutique. In July 2012, Versace announced the launch of the Atelier Versace Jewellery collection, during the Autumn/Winter 2012-13 Atelier Versace fashion show at the Ritz Paris.

ITALIAN STYLE

The evolution of the Versace style demonstrates a perfect balance between the classical and the modern. Strong lines and attractive shapes are combined with precious materials and stones handled with exquisite craftsmanship. CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSABILITY

In conformity with United Nations resolutions and the Kimberley Process accord (KPCS), all diamonds mounted on Versace jewellery originate in conflict free zones and are obtained exclusively from authorized sources.
