COURSE CONTENTS 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. 1.INTRODUCTION 2.SAP OVERVIEW -A discussion of SAP’s functionalities that are relevant to the auditor. This section is not aimed at providing SAP training but rather making the auditor aware of the functionalities that you need to be aware of and be able to device an audit approach that will allow a sensible review of these SAP functions. 3.SAP RISKS AND CONTROLS -ItThis section aims to discuss the risks that are relevant to an organization that has implemented SAP. also discusses the appropriate controls that a company could employ to address the risks discussed. 4.SAP AUDIT APPROACH - SIMPLIFIED -It also aims toThis section is a discussion of a typical methodology to the review of SAP. provide an approach to the review that is easier to understand and easier to execute specially for someone who has very little experience in audits of SAP environments. 5.SAP WORK PROGRAMS -This section aims to discuss typical requirements of a SAP audit in terms of work programs and suggested audit procedures to employ during the review. 6.AUTOMATED AUDIT TOOLS FOR SAP –There is a number of tools already available in the market to automated a lot of the audit procedures needed to review the SAP system.Custom made tools have also been developed to provide automation. The participants will have a first hand experience in the use of some of these tools. 7.SUMMARY -This will provide a brief (30 minutes) summary of the day long discussion.

Mr. Abraham Cortez,Partner at Workgroup ConnectionAbe Cortez has over 29 years of experience delivering Technology Risk Management services; mostly with the “Big Four” public accounting firms.He has extensive knowledge and experience designing, testing, and implementing SAP Access and Process controls (e.g., Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, and Record to Report) as a Consultant on the implementation team, and as an Auditor helping clients mitigate risks and achieve r egulatory compliance. Additionally, he is an Approva Certified Professional, and has led the delivery of numerous SAP GRC services utilizing tools such as Virsa, ACL, CSI, AIS, and BizRights to design/test/monitor SAP security, and to configure rule-sets supporting automated controls intended to monitor high risk transaction activities along the business processes (e.g., Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, and Record to Report). Finally, Abe Cortez is a Partner with Workgroup Connection and leader of its Risk Management and related services.Before that, he was a Principal with Grant Thornton over the IT Audit practice in Jakarta, Indonesia and a member of the National SAP team in the U. S. where he was utilized nationally as a SAP subject matter specialist, and led the development and delivery of SAP services and training.Prior to that, Abe Cortez was a Managing Director with Deloitte Consulting and a leader of Deloitte’s SAP implementation practice.Prior to Deloitte, Abe Cortez was an IT Audit partner with Pricewaterhouse-Coopers.
