In 2012, New Zealand was Guest of Honour with 104
publishers releasing 200 new books on New Zealand (in
German alone), including 54 fiction titles.
In 2011-2012, the translation funding programme of the
Publishers Association of New Zealand (PANZ) supported a
total of 18 new translations of New Zealand literature into
German.

At the Fair, New Zealand presented 67 of its authors on
2,300 square metres in the Forum, which attracted 67,500
visitors (25,000 of those on Saturday). 36 New Zealand
publishers were represented at the 165 square metre Col-
lective Stand in Hall 8.0. Stage performances as well as arts
& crafts from New Zealand were featured on the Agora. New
Zealand was also well represented at events throughout the
Fair, incl. at the Comics Centre, Forum Education, Gourmet The “Books on New Zea-
Gallery, StoryDrive Conference and a one-off Hobbit-themed
