n'êtes pas compris et vous ne vivez pas"
This is the eleventh edition of "Basic Statistics", and the
popularity of the booklet shows no signs of falling off.
This is not to say that the Statistical Office is wholly
satisfied: despite the improvements that have been made,
there are still omissions and imperfections, no doubt. But
perseverance will surely help us to get rid of them in the
course of time.
Anticipating events a little, we have changed the presen
tation of most of the Tables. Statistics for the four
countries which have applied to join the Community now
appear alongside those for the six present members, with
totals for all ten. Statistics for EFTA as a whole are still
given.
As always, we welcome reader's comments, suggestions
or criticism. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.
