That morning, Hakim was on his way home from the market with his little gray donkey, Pili- Pili. “Mom is going to be so pleased: I sold all the fruit and vegetables!” Along the way, they were caught in a heavy downpour. “Let’s go shelter in that cave!” While Hakim watched the rain falling, the curious little donkey went to explore the depths of the dark cave. All of a sudden,clink, clank, clonk…something rolled past his hooves and came to a stop at Hakim’s feet. “Oh, a lamp!” he cried. “Maybe it’s a magic lamp!”
