Doctor Basile Scrini (1869-1931) and ocular therapeutics.
Born in Beyrouth (Lebanon) of Greek parents, Dr B. Scrini studied medicine in Paris and specialized in ophthalmology, working with Panas at the Hôtel-Dieu. He published several books and articles on ocular therapeutics, the most important of which is his Précis de Thérapeutique oculaire (1904), and various other works dealing with clinical ophthalmology.

Von griechischer Abstammung und in Beyruth (Libanon) geboren, absolvierte Dr B. Scrini sein Medizinstudium in Paris, und spezialisierte sich in der Augenheilkunde indem er bei Panas, im Hôtel-Dieu, arbeitete. Er ist der Verfasser von mehreren augentherapeutischen Schriften, Artikel und verschiedener anderer klinisch-therapeutischen Veröffentlichungen ; am wichtigsten ist sein Précis de Thérapeutique oculaire (1904).
