The medals awarded to pharmacy students in Paris as a result of competitive examination.
For two centuries, medals have been bestowed upon pharmacy students in Paris as rewards in competitions. In 1781, the lieutenant general of police created three annual endowed awards of gold medals for the students at the College of Pharmacy. In 1784, the College instituted silver medals as awards for those students receiving honorable mention, and in 1789, it assumed the responsability for the gold medals in place of the lieutenant of police. The competitions were suppressed in 1794 and re-established by the free school from November 1797 to September 1802.
Die Medaillen als Belohnung der bei den Preisbewerbungen ausgezeichneten pariser Pharmaziestudenten.
Seit zwei Jahrhunderten werden den bei den Preisbewerbungen erfolgreichen pariser Pharmaziestudenten Medaillen überreicht. Es war im Jahre 1781 als der « lieutenant général de police » drei jährliche Strebsamkeitspreise gründete, mit Goldmedaillenzuteilungen, für die Schüler des « College de Pharmacie ». Dieses « Collège » stiftete 1784 Silbermedaillen zur Belohnung von Schuler welche eine ehrenwerte Erwähnung (Accessit) verdient hatten und, 1789, übernahm es die Lieferung der Goldmedaillen am Platz des « lieutenant de police ». Die im Jahre 1794 aufgehobenen Preisbewerbungen wurden von November 1797 bis September 1802 von der « Ecole gratuite » wiederhergestellt.
