René Cerbelaud attaque les remèdes secrets cent ans après la loi de Germinal
Notre confrère René Cerbelaud a été un personnage certainement très original. Il a joué un rôle important au début du siècle dernier en publiant les formules d'innombrables « spécialités » et produits cosmétiques, dont les formules étaient encore plus ou moins secrètes, ce qui lui valut l'inimitié des fabricants. Ce faisant, il contribua certainement à la disparition des remèdes secrets et à une application stricte de la Loi de Germinal qui, plus de cent ans après sa promulgation, était loin d'être respectée. On peut d'une certaine manière le considérer comme l'inventeur des génériques et aussi le promoteur de ce qui est devenu la parapharmacie.

Our colleague René Cerbelaud was an original character. He played an important part in the pharmaceutical history of the 20th century when published recipes of countless medicines and cosmetic products, incurring the hostility of their manufacturers.
As a matter of fact, he contributed to the disappearance of secret remedies and therefore to the enforcement of the Germinal law more than a century after it was promulgated. In a sense he may be looked on as the inventor of generic drugs and the promoter of what was become « parapharmacie ».

René Cerbelaud publishing remedies formulas a century after the Germinal Law

Our colleague René Cerbelaud was an original character. He played an important part in the pharmaceutical history of the 20th

century when published recipes of countless medicines and cosmetic products, incurring the hostility of their manufacturers.

As a matter of fact, he contributed to the disappearance of secret remedies and therefore to the enforcement of the Germinal law
