Ein kleines Handbuch über Volksmedizin : Manuskript, aus dem Aostatal, Ende des 16. Jahrhunderts.
Dieses Manuskript, das sich aus 23 beidseitig beschriebenen und grob gebundenen Blättern, Format 145 X 200 mm, zusammensetzt und wahrscheinlich vom Ende des 16. Jahrhunderts stammt, ist anonym. Beim aufmerksamen Lesen hat man den Eindruck, dass es urschriftlich ist und von einem barmherzigen Priester verfasst wurde, der unbemittelten Kranken des Tales eine Linderungsmöglichkeit verschaffen wollte.
Das Manuskript umfasst 92 Rubriken, meistens von 3 bis 6 Linien, und jede Rubrik ist einem bestimmten Leiden gewidmet. Die empfohlenen Medikamente sind meistens Medizinalpflanzen.
A small handbook of popular medicine : a manuscript of the Aosta Valley of the end of the XVIth century.
Composed of 23 pages with writing on both sides, 145 X 200 mm in size, roughly bound together, that manuscript, probably of the end of the XVIth century, is anonymous, but a careful reading allows us to suppose that it is autographic and that its copyist is a charitable priest anxious to bring some possible relief to the poor ill people in the Valley.
The manuscript comprises 92 items, generally from 3 to 6 lines, each of them devoted to a particular disease. The advocated médecines are, as often as not, medicinal herbs.
