EDF R&D F L U I DD Y N A M I C SP O W E RG E N E R A T I O NA N D E N V I R O N N E M E N TD E P A R T M E N T Applied Meteorology and Atmospheric Environment group Vacancy for an engineer or a doctor in atmospheric sciences Job description: You are interested in Applied Meteorology and Atmospheric Environment and more specifically in weather and climate prediction models and renewable energies. EDF R&D is seeking for an engineer or a doctor likely to take part in the EDF R&D program on : ¾The estimation of weather and climate impacts on EDF activities and the use of weather predictions in operational processes; ¾The prediction of renewable energies production (wind and solar). A part of the R&D studies are leaded as projects with strong partnerships with Météo-France, CERFACS, ECMWF and other European research institutes and Universities. Required skills: ¾Engineer or doctor with technical and scientific skills in computational fluid dynamics and/or statistics. An interest in challenges for a sustainable development is required. Experience in earth sciences, weather/climate models and/or climate change would be an advantage. ¾Broadmind and teamwork. ¾Languages : The working language at EDF is French.
