Drake-Brockman has 14 years trade show experience, specialising in technology events, including 6 years as Event Director of Internet World in London from 2005 to 2010. He has worked on a range of exhibitions including The Windows Show, Windows Enterprise, Linux Expo, WebMaster, WebStrategy as well as launching/chairing conferences including the iMedia Online Retail Summit, The Future Of Social Media and Harnessing The Power of Twitter.

"ad:tech is an exceptionally strong event and I am excited to be running the UK event as well as being given the opportunity to take it to new markets throughout EMEA. I had the chance to launch an iMedia Summit whilst in Australia recently and its unique format creates a compelling proposition for attendees and sponsors alike. Together they are the perfect vehicles to serve the needs of the digital advertising and marketing community. Having spent years admiring the events from the outside the prospect of running them for this region is one I am relishing."

"We are excited to have James as part of the dmg :: events team and look forward to his leadership of UK Digital Marketing team and expansion into new markets," says Susan Macdermid, President, dmg :: events Digital Marketing Division. "James is a rare find, combining deep market knowledge with years of event industry experience. His work turning around Internet World and then launching an extremely successful iMedia Summit in Australia speaks for itself and we are extremely excited to have him on board."
