Number of lottery mega-jackpots increased drastically in 2013

Bookies have slashed the odds on the world's first billion dollar lottery jackpot after USA Mega Millions broke through the $350 million barrier for the second time in two months.

After achieving a world record lottery jackpot of $656 Million in 2012, USA Mega Millions has maintained its lead over home rival USA Powerball, which hit $590 Million in 2013.
