III. Expression 1) The scene takes place in Bombay. The narrator, a little school boy, went to the cinema with his friend without his father’s permission and didn’t attend class. His father finds him outside the cinema. The father: “Oh My God! Oh Christ! What are you doing?” The narrator: “Well, Dad, I went to the cinema with all my schoolmates and my schoolmaster.” The father: “You’re a liar! You’ve disobeyed me! I can’t believe it!” The narrator: “Oh Dad! I’m honest! We have to see that movie because we have to do a presentation.” The father: “Stop taking me for a fool! Who do you think I am? This morning your schoolmaster has called me telling me that you were missing! Immediately I understood where you could be” … Conseil pour le dialogue :  On peut donner des prénoms aux personnages.  Avant d’écrire le dialogue on peut décrire brièvement la scène.  Le dialogue doit comporter une scène de dispute entre le père et le fils. L’enfant a désobéit. Il est allé au cinéma au lieu d’allerаl’école.  Le dialogue doit également comporter des reproches du pèreаl’enfant. o« You didn’t attend class » o« You watched a film alone » o“You wasn’t allowed to watch films without your family. You disobeyed”  Il faut rester proche du texte concernant les raisons de la dispute. 2) There are different sorts of films (romantic, thriller, comedy, action …). Generally, when you are impressed by a film, this takes its source from your experience, your life, your childhood, and so on… Indeed, a film is what is related to fiction. Thus, when a film impresses you, it is because it seems to be really close to reality and to our life. For instance, according to me, Titanic has particularly impressed me because it conveys feelings and emotions. Moreover, dialogues are important and the way the different actors perform is crucial and relevant.
