Pep Boys Launches Dynamic Audio/Video In-Store Marketing Campaign; Educates Customers with
High-Tech Branding
Automotive Retail and Service Giant Hires Leading Multimedia Marketing Company to Transform Idle Time
into Marketing Moments
New York, NY
– The Pep Boys – Manny, Moe & Jack (NYSE “PBY”), the nation's leading automotive
aftermarket retail and service chain, announced today that it has hired IOHI, one of the largest solution-based
audio/video marketing companies, to provide a dynamic in-store audio and video marketing campaign for Pep
Boys’ 562 locations across the United States and Puerto Rico.
IOHI™, formerly known as Impressions On Hold, has implemented IOHI On-Hold™, overhead marketing
messages and IOHI Atmospheres® in-store music products at all Pep Boys locations.
All IOHI-designed audio and video marketing campaigns are controlled from the IOHI corporate data center,
effectively eliminating the need for manual intervention by employees at the store level.
This remote
administration is a cornerstone of IOHI service.
Both hardware operation and media transmission quality can
be monitored by IOHI and reported to Pep Boys for quality assurance and return-on-investment measurement.
IOHI will transmit both Spanish and English messaging into Pep Boys stores where appropriate and, ultimately,
after an extensive lifestyle and demographics analysis of Pep Boys’ core clientele, will customize messages
and music by market to meet their unique needs.
Pep Boys recently switched to IOHI from a different music and message provider.
