There should be RV parking for golfers

Rate payers should get together and pay the extra money to get the projects built now. (They think that's why their rates are being raised anyway)

Have a short-term surcharge (5 years or less) to spur interest and development of the site.

Would like to see golf course area completed so people stay engaged

Has Pierce Transit been contacted about adding a bus stop at the site?

Should picnic area locations be specified?

Can the trees along Grandview be thinned for a better view?

BOAT LAUNCH Consider going from 4 to 2 lane launch (per public comment) Remove dam as mitigation for boat launch

ARBORETUM Arboretum should use native plants

NORTH DOCK/DAY USE MOORAGE

Can day use moorage be expanded for more boater access? (large yachts, shuttle from bouys)

Can a portion of the day use moorage be reserved for golfers (guarantee them a spot if they come to golf?)

Make it clear that the mooring bouys are for day use only

Will the day use moorage be able to accommodate large yachts while still leaving room for the little guys?

Add a boat pump-out to the North Dock

OFF-LEASH DOG PARK/AREA

Site the dog park sooner rather than later.

May need to charge for dog park use.

A dog park would be financially self-supporting.

How would the siting of a dog park impact the flow of wildlife?

How would fencing around dog park fit into the natural area?

Was the criteria of a dog park being funded operated and maintained by another entity considered by the Citizens Committee?

Consider adding additional criteria for "Maintained and operated by an outside agency"

Why not join with the group at Ft. Steilacoom to get that park finished sooner?

Why is there not more of a push to help get the Ft. Steilacoom park going?

If non-profit was in charge of the dog park, the County would not be held liable or responsible for any problems.

The reason the golf course is being built is to generate revenue.An off-leash park won't generate revenue - it will actually cost money to operate.

Don't agree that the dog park doesn't meet the criteria for site uniqueness.

North Beach will be used by people.It is a small area at high tide, there are environmental issues, dog waste.Would like a dedicated space elsewhere.

What is the environmental impact to the shoreline from an off-leash park or area? Does DOE allow it?

Look at dog facilities on North Beach and another area also.

How much beach is available at high tide in the North Beach area?

Will people have anywhere else to go at high tide is the off-leash area at the North Beach is unavailable?

If the high tide at the North Beach limits access, people will go elsewhere off-leash.

Off-leash use of beach will exclude general use of beach.

Dogs can run a long way at the North Beach.

Want another off-leash area besides the North Beach.

Consider alternative spot for off-leash at high tide.

The off-leash park doesn't need 20 acres - small portion of South Area instead.

Aren't environmental impacts of the golf course greater than the impact of dogs at the beach.

Dog park doesn't fit in South End with boat launch, arboretum, and open space.

SUN Dogs (Safe, Unleashed, and Natural) will raise funds, construct fence, maintain, and build amenities.

SUN Dogs wants a regional facility at Chambers Creek Properties.

Chambers Creek Properties are a stunning Northwest site similar to Pt. Defiance - and that should be preserved.

CCP is a rare place.It shouldn't just exist to fill in with every unmet park need in the region.

How will dogs and people be controlled?

The amount of land still available is not large.Must be careful not to overplan and preserve passive and mixed use areas.

OFF-LEASH DOG PARK/AREA (cont):

Hard to believe there aren't 4-6 acres available for off-leash in a 900 acre site.

It's okay if the dog park doesn't have a view!

Water access for off-leash is possible (Marymoor has it).

Use underutilized existing areas for an off-leash park.

Dog park at North Meadow?

Is there room at Cirque Park for a dog park?

Why was Area 6 dropped for dog park?

Area south of the golf course in practice area could be a dog park instead.

The Bus Barn area is a more accessible site for foot traffic.

Can the dog-park be located in unused WWTP area?

You can't just drop a dog park in an area that is already pressed for parking (South End)

Would like to see a fenced dog-park at Chambers Creek.

Dog park meets needs for many people who can't provide other exercise for their dogs.

People pick up after their dogs more in an off-leash area (self-policing).
