Eos Loudspeaker Connection

Introduction Eos loudspeakers are designed to deliver natural and accurate music reproduction. Eos loud- speakers are acoustically matched to obtain the best sound from your Eos Converge Amplified Receiver. To achieve the best sound from your Eos loudspeakers, please take a moment to read the instructions contained in this setup guide.

Speaker Placement For best stereo imaging, the left and right speakers should be the same distance from their respective side walls. To reduce bass, it is best to place the speaker at least 12” (.3M) from the wall behind the speaker. It also is best for the speakers to be placed at an equal distance from the listening position Note:Eos loudspeakers are magnetically shielded to allow them to be placed near a television or computer monitor. If you notice any discoloration or distortion of the television or monitor’s display, move the speakers away from the device.

Speaker Wire Connection When making connections, ensure that none of the strands of speaker wire come in contact with an adjoining speaker terminal. 1. Use your fingers loosen the screw terminal to reveal the connection hole. 2. Insert the stripped end of the gold colored wire to the speaker terminal hole marked “+” then tighten the screw terminal. Insert the stripped end of silver colored wire to the terminal hole marked “-” then tighten the screw terminal. The stripped portion should be caught firmly in the connector post. 3. Repeat this procedure to setup the second loudspeaker.

Eos Loudspeaker Connection

Amplified Receiver Wire Connection Follow the diagram below to connect your speakers to the Eos Converge Amplified Receiver. 1. Use your thumb or fingers press the spring-loaded terminal tab to open the connec - tion hole, once the stripped portion of the wire is in the securely in the hole, release the terminal tab. The wire should be caught firmly in the connector hole. 2. Connect the stripped end of gold colored wire to the speaker terminal hole marked “+” (red). Insert the stripped end of silver colored wire to the speaker terminal hole marked “-” (black) 3. To help obtain a better connection, it is important to pull slightly the wires after these have been secured in the terminals. This will cause the teeth inside the connectors to ‘bite’ into the wire. Note - Mismatching of polarities will result in a distorted sense of sound direction. If this occurs, re-check the wiring.

Should service be necessary under this warranty for any reason due to manufacturing defect during this 1-year period from date of original purchase, IntelliTouch will either repair the unit or replace it with a reconditioned unit at no charge. U.S. Warranty Service - You must call (877-465-3927) to obtain a return authorization number prior to sending your product in for service.

Conexión del altavoz Eos

Introducción Los altavoces Eos se diseñan con el fin de proporcionar un sonido natural y preciso durante la reproducción de música. Los altavoces Eos atraviesan un proceso de ajuste acústico destinado a obtener el mejor sonido a partir de su Receptor amplificado Converge de Eos. Si desea disfru- tar del mejor sonido a través de sus altavoces Eos, dedique unos instantes a leer las instruccio - nes que contiene esta guía de instalación. Colocación del altavoz A fin de reproducir el sonido estéreo con la máxima fidelidad, los altavoces izquierdo y derecho deben colocarse a la misma distancia de sus respectivas paredes. Para reducir la generación de frecuencias graves, es mejor colocar el altavoz a una distancia mínima de 0,3 m (12”) de la pared situada tras el altavoz. También resulta beneficioso colocar los altavoces en posiciones equidistantes de la posición de escucha. Nota:disponen de un blindaje magnético que permite colocarlos junto a unLos altavoces Eos televisor o monitor informático. Si aprecia alguna decoloración o distorsión en la imagen que presenta el televisor o monitor, aleje los altavoces del dispositivo. Conexión por cable del altavoz Al realizar las conexiones, asegúrese de que ninguno de los conductores del cable de altavoz entre en contacto con el terminal de altavoz adyacente. 1. Utilice los dedos para aflojar el terminal roscado y descubrir el orificio de conexión. 2. Inserte el extremo pelado del cable de color dorado en el orificio del terminal de altavoz marcado con el símbolo “+” y apriete el terminal roscado de nuevo. Inserte el extremo pelado del cable de color plateado en el orificio del terminal marcado con el símbolo “-” y apriete el terminal roscado de nuevo. La parte pelada del cable debe quedar firmemente sujeta en el conector. 3. Repita este procedimiento para instalar el segundo altavoz.
