A purported email exchange between an

Apple

fan and Apple CEO Steve Jobs seems to

confirm that iWork '11 has been held back so that AirPlay could make its way into Keynote

11, the application that assists users in making presentations for the big screen.

Although Apple officially updated iLife 11 this October, the company refrained itself from

making a similar announcement for iWork, which currently still sells in its '09 form.

a new version of its productivity suite, going by a leaked email conversation between Steve

Jobs and a person showing high interest in Apple's Keynote offerings, as well as the new

Apple TV.

According to

TUAW

, reader Jared asked if the new Apple TV would accept presentations

via an iOS device or a Mac.

"Will the new Apple TV accept keynote presentation via iOS device or a Mac? If it will, I will

go buy two at an apple store tonight," the guy reportedly said.

According to the report, which also includes a screenshot of Mail.app showing header info,

Steve's answer was: "It's all coming soon. Stay tuned."

Should the conversation be legit, it's fair to say that Steve Jobs pretty much confirmed the

upcoming availability of AirPlay for Keynote 11.

For those who are not yet familiar with the feature,

AirPlay

permits users to stream content

from an iOS device to the second-generation Apple TV.

The wireless technology will soon be fully integrated into speaker docks, AV receivers, and

stereo systems from companies such as Bowers & Wilkins and Denon.

Users will be able to enjoy their entire iTunes library everywhere around the house,

provided that they have supported equipment in different rooms.

The new Apple TV

costs $99. The iWork suite currently goes for $79 as a bundle.

It is rumored that Apple will break the suite into its three components selling each for $19.99

via the forthcoming Mac App Store.
