Computer & Office       Introduction   The aim of this “tutorial” is to provide the user with the basic techniques and information to use the Mobil2000 software correctly. In this way the user can quickly and faultlessly make an estimate by using the provided forms.   This tutorial does not replace the manual provided together with the software in any way, where all the commands of Mobil2000 are explained in detail. This example shows a correct operating sequence in order to understand the real potentials of the package.     The current example was created by using the records of the firm LOGIKA (last updating 02/05/2003).     TUTORIAL    The application example goes through the following stages:   Global data entry. Management of options. Guide lines. Introduction of pieces of furniture. Modification of furnishing elements. Preview creation. Estimate.       2 TUTORIAL MOBIL2000    

 

Computer & Office     Creation of a furniture arrangement   The aim of this second application example is the creation and modification of a furniture arrangement similar to that shown in the picture.    

    The process begins with the INSERT GLOBAL DATA command from the INSERT menu or by selecting the icon , which asks for the introduction of the project GLOBAL DATA, such as the customer personal data.

    The following step is the definition of the global variants, that consists in the choice of a product line.   In the INSERT menu choose the INSERT GLOBAL VARIANTS command or click the icon , then activate the Select Line dialogue box shown in the followi ng picture, where you can select the product line you wish for your furnishing.   For the current example please choose the line “NO FOOD   PROPOSALS” by clicking it with the left button of your mouse.

  Confirm the dialogue box clicking [OK].   At this stage please choose the INSERT GUIDE LINES command in the INSERT menu or click the icon , in order to define the two “walls” on which the single elements chosen will be introduced.   The software’s proposals in the command line are:   “ From the po ” i   n le t f   -t : click any point on the screen.   “ To the po ” i   n m t: ove rightwards, activate the modeorthowith the F8 button on the keyboard, type5000 on the command line and finally click [enter].   “ Furniture side ins ” e . r   t L i e o f-t n cl : any point on the screen belowick the line you have just drawn.   “ Wall number ”. < C 1 o > nfirm the proposed value with enter.   “ To the point or [Diagonal 1 metre/Ang ” l   e U / s G e l t o h b e a z l o   o u m c s s   ]: to display the whole GUIDE LINE you have just drawn if this is not

    The first element to be introduced is the corner.   Go to the “INSERT ANGLE” special command in the INSERT menu.   The Single selection window is displayed. In the left part of this window there is a tree menu, that is the electronic list where you can choose the article you like.

Computer & Office     The first item appearing in the tree is “NO FOOD PROPOSALS”, that corresponds to the GLOBAL VARIANTS set at the beginning.   In order to display the types of articles present in this line, if they have not already been displayed, you need to left-click the “NO FOOD PROPOSALS” icon.   At this point other “branches” and “su-bbranches” of this electronic  list are shown; when you arrive at the last level, all the articles belonging to the section chosen are shown.   In order to select the corner wall element, you need to left-click “CORNERS”,I“NTERNLA”, “W/WOODEN SHELVES”.   Note Please note that beside the icon representing the type of articles, the sign “+” or the sign -“” appears each time. The sign “+” means that this type of article has to be selected to show new categories of articles contained in it. The sign “-”, in contrast, me ans that this type has already been selected and that its content is shown in the tree.     In the right part of the dialogue box all available articles with corresponding code, dimensions and description are shown. The next step consists in selecting the piece of furniture by once- clicking the line reporting the corresponding description. While you select the article in the list “0I70MA”, at the bottom of the box the picture of the article will be shown in preview (see picture).

  Note For a more detailed description of the entry boxes, please consult the manual.   To confirm your choices press the button OK in the dialogue box or double-click the selected element.   The elements you chose in the tree menu, as far as the first data entry is concerned, are:   CORNERS  INTERNAL  W/WOODEN SHELVES   Match:atumotaci     After having confirmed your choices, the command line will ask you:   “Select 2 walls Select   o s b e j le e c c t t t s h : e ” two GUIDE LINES with the left button of the mouse or with a selection window.   “ Select  tohbeject   s p : r ” ess [enter] to confirm it. 8 TUTORIAL MOBIL2000    

 

Computer & Office     “ Select obje    c p t r s e : ss ” [enter] to exit the command.   It could be useful for you to divide the screen into two windows, using the2 VIEWPORTScommand in theVIEW menu, VIEWPORTS. The user can visualize the project or its details from different perspectives.    

    The two viewports make it easier to make the following operations for the introduction of other articles. To obtain this visualization, left-click the right viewport and activate it. Use theSW ISOMETRIC VIEWcommand in theVIEWmenu, 3D VIEWS.   To optimize the configuration of each viewport, ou first need to activate it and then to use the ZOOM IN command and afterwards the ZOOM OUT command.     Before going on with the introduction of other wall elements on the two GUIDE LINES, you need to go back to the “INSERT GLOBAL VARIANTS” command by selecting the “FOOD   SOLASRPPO” line.    At this stage go on with the introduction of the wall elements on the two GUIDE LINES.   First of all activate the left viewport b left-clicking it; then go back to theINSERT MULTIPLEcommand   in theINSERTmenu.   “ Select a guide   li S n el e e ” ct    the GUIDE LINE number 1 with the left button of your mouse clicking a point near the corner.   The Multiple Selection window is displayed; for its description please see the manual.   The first item appearing in the tree is “FOOD PROPOSALS”, which corresponds to that chosen in theGLOBAL VARIANTS.     This box and the electronic list placed on its left are used in the same way as for the introduction of the corner.   10 TUTORIAL MOBIL2000    

 

Computer & Office     The only difference is that the selected articles are temporarily placed in the list below the list chosen. The selection process of the pieces of furniture corresponds to the order with which they will be introduced in the project. After having selected all the necessary elements, please confirm the box pressing [OK].   The elements chosen in the tree menu, as far as this multiple entry is concerned, are:   BAKERY/PASTRY  W/DOOR CABINET LOW W 100   Code:FP4013     BAKERY/PASTRY  W/BIG BREAD BASKET W 100   Code:FP4011     DELICATESSEN  W/HOPPER CABINET W/SHELVES  W 100 Code:FS4001     Make sure that the active alignment in the box is on the “right” side. In other words, once the pieces of furniture have been chosen, the software will introduce them according to the sequence already established and it will place them on the right of the chosen GUIDE LINE, in this case starting from the corner.   Once the entry is completed, the Mobil2000 software controls that the dimensions of the pieces of furniture selected correspond to the length of the GUIDE LINE drawn. If this is not the case, the software will ask the user if s/he wants to make some outsize operations.
