Tentative identification of emblems on two drug jars of Tuscan manufacture. An account is given of two maiolica apothecary jars made in the sixteenth century at Cafaggiolo or Montelupo, each displaying a monastic emblem. Galeazzo Cora's list of emblems of Florentine monastic establishments would suggest that the jars were made for the use of the Florentine monasteries of San Marco and Santa Maria del Carmine respectively.
