During the last three years I had the chance to have the full attention of two
extraordinary supervisors, Laurent Bonavero and Thomas Peternell. They ini-
tiated me to the di cult art of algebraic geometry and supported me during
the numerous ups and downs that are so typical for research in mathematics.
Their openness for discussions and their interest for my sometimes weird ideas
contributed tremendously to the success of this thesis. Last but not least they
gave me the freedom I need to pursue my various non-mathematical activities.
I want to thank Christophe Mourougane and Jaroslaw Wisniewski for ac-
cepting to be referees for my thesis and for their remarks that helped me to
improve the rst draft. My discussions with Frederic Campana and Jean-Pierre
Demailly had considerable in uence on my work over the last years. I am very
happy that they are now members in my jury.
This work could not have been realised without the sta of the Mathema-
tische Institut in Bayreuth and the Institut Fourier in Grenoble. Their support
for the administrative work of a binational PhD project and the organisation
of GAEL was really great. I also want to thank the Deutsch-franz osische
"
Hochschule - Universite franco-allemande\ and the Schwerpunkt Globale Meth-
"
oden in der komplexen Geometrie\ for nancing the journeys I made between
Bayreuth and Grenoble.
Life at a mathematical institute gets interesting through the discussion with
colleagues on everything from fully faithful functors to whisky distilleries. My
life at the institutes I frequented was the most enjoyable and there are far
more people I should mention than ts on this page. Thank you, Alice, Amael,
Catriona, Fabrice, Maxime, Michel, S onke, Stephane, Thomas, Wolfgang, . . .
Being a travelling mathematician most of the time, it is indispensable to have
a base where you can return to from time to time. My family’s home in Roth
is such a place, and my family provided incredible moral support. Standing
together through all the di culties they are the most important people in my
life.
For what words can’t express. Ann, merci ...

tel-00121528, version 1 - 21 Dec 2006Zwei Anwendungen von Positivitat
in der Klassi k ationstheorie komplexer
projektiver Mannigfaltigkeiten
Fragen.
Teil I: Kahlermannigfaltigkeiten mit gespal-
tenem Tangentialbundel
Etwas genauer gesprochen
soll folgende Vermutung betrachtet werden.
