Статья дает анализ некоторым результатам одной анкеты, проведенной в Кинсаза (быв. Леопольдвиль) три месяца до независимости. Цель этой анкеты — выделить восприятия и представление о настоящей и будущей жизни, связанные с независимостью; с другой стороны, анкета старается уточнить главные определительные данные.
Изученная настоящая независимость — это «политическая партиципация», которую автор пробует измерять приемами гутманского типа. Обращение с этими вопросами дает возможность выяснить два размера политического участия, которые вместе взятые наводят на вопрос о «четырех типах», о четырех способах политического действия в исторический момент до независимости. Многочисленные и всевозможные анализы приводят к мысли о типологии «конфликтов культуры» в качестве изменчивой независимости или главного определителя этих разнообразных политических деятельностей.
В заключение, автор останавливается на том, как объяснительная схема могла бы быть продуктивной, дать отчет о самых последних делах и лучше окружить проблемы, вызванные последованием единства Конго.
Haroun Jamous : Political participation and cultural conflicts in the Congo.
The article analyses some results of an inquiry made in Kinshasa (ex-Leopoldville) three months before the independance. Its purpose was on the one hand, to reveal the perception and representation of the present and future in connection with the idea of independance, on the other hand, to define its chief determining factors. The dependant variable examined is 'political participation' which the author tries to measure by Guttmanian type techniques. The treatment of the answers reveals two dimensions of political participation, which combined, suggest four types of political reaction to the historical moment represented by pre-independance. Multivaried analysis suggests a typology of 'cultural conflicts' as independant variable or principal determinant of these different political activities. To conclude, the author shows how the explanatory schematisation could help to explain more recent facts and to grasp better the problems of the search for Congolese unity.

El artículo analiza algunos resultados de una investigación que se hizo en Kinshasa (antes Leopoldville) tres meses antes de la independencia y que trataba, рог una parte, de destacar las percepciones y las representaciones del presente y del futuro ligadas a la idea de independencia; por otre parte, trataba de precisar los principales determinantes. La variable dependiente examinada es la « participación política » que el autor procura medir con técnicas de tipo guttmaniano. El tratamiento de las contestaciones permite desprender dos dimensiones de la participación política, las cuales, una vez combinadas, sugieren cuatro tipos, cuatros modos de reaccionar politicamente en el momento histórico de la preindependencia. Análisis multivariados llevan a proponer una tipologia de los « conflictos » culturales como variable independiente о principal determinante de esas actividades politicas. Para concluir, el autor enseña como el esquema explicativo propuesto podría ser fecundo para referir hechos mas recientes y cernir mejor los problemas que levanta la busca de la unidad de Congo.
Haroun Jamous : Politische Teilnahme und kulturelle Konflikte im Kongo.
In diesem Artikel werden einige Ergebnisse einer in Kinshasa (früher Leopoldville) durchgeführten Untersuchung analysiert, die darauf zielte, einerseits die mit der Idee der Unabhängigkeit verbundenen Wahrnehmungen und Vorstellungen der Gegenwart und der Zukunft zu isolieren, andererseits deren wichtigste Bestimmungsmomente zu prazisieren. Mittels Guttmannschen Techniken versucht der Verfasser die politische Teilnahme als abhängige Variable auszumessen. Die Bearbeitung der Antworten erlaubt zwei Dimensionen der politischen Teilnahme hervorzuheben aus deren Kombinationsmöglichkeiten vier Typen, d.h. vier Reaktionarten im historischen Augenblick der Vorunabhängigkeit ans Licht kommen. So wird eine Typologie der « kulturellen Konflikte » vorgeschlagen, wobei diese Konflikte als unabhangige Variable, bzw. als wichtigstes Bestimmungsmoment jener verschiedenen politischen Tatigkeiten, betrachtet werden. Zum Schluss zeigt der Verfasser, wie man sein Auslegungsthema nutzlich zur Erläuterung verschiedener späteren Ereignisse im Kongo und Prazisierung der Probleme der kongolischen Einheit anwenden könnte.
