Description

A smart kid who lives with his big brother, Marvin, above the family store, Sneaky Pete is collecting equipment for a Big Adventure he’s planning, and loves to visit Patrick’s Pawn Shop and Military Supply. One evening at the pawn shop, while sifting through the discount section, he overhears Patrick talking in the office. Pete hears Patrick say Marvin’s name and something about a valuable gold coin—and then he talks about his plan to steal it! Could a Big Adventure be brewing? Join Sneaky Pete in a fun tale that includes a creepy mansion, robot guard dogs, paragliding robot cats, a dark sewer system called the Sewie Hole (home to a talking rat and his friend Jim), a talking alligator, missing parents, a spy and his twin brothers, gyrocopters, a couple of rich girl twins, Jack the Hawk, and of course Marvin.

Before I begin this story I want to thank some very important people who really made this book happen. After countless stories that popped right out of my imagination and into their precious minds and a constant demand for "another story, Bob, please," that Sneaky Pete began to whisper to my imagination that it was time for a Big Adventure! Thank you, Charlie, Max, William, Ruby, and Penny. You guys have my heart. And my sweet wife Freda who "nudged" me to write this book, my love for you is endless.
PREFACE
My name is Bob and this is the beginning of a marvelous story that takes place in a very small, itsy-bitsy town in the great state of Montana called Snippysville.
I won’t bore you with a bunch of tourism information because I don’t work for the tourism department, and really I don’t care much for tourists. The town used to be a trading post nestled right in the middle of where five mountain ranges converge, with many streams and lakes.
This story is about kids and some adults who get in the way despite good intentions wrapped around a little greed. The kids range from about the age of ten and up, and the adults are … well to the kids, they are older than time itself.
The year this story was conceived was early in the 21st century and written a little later. The thing about writing stories is it helps if you were involved somehow. I was. It helps if you are educated on your subject. I am. And if you know how to write it down, others will find it a fascinating and entertaining story. I don’t.
I am a storyteller, not a story writer. Please endure and you will be happy you did.
CHAPTER ONE
Marvin Waddle owned the only one-stop-shop store in Snippysville (aka the Wiggly Pig), and he took his job very seriously.
