First Word
This is the first in a series of
poems which are meant to be
recited, acted out, enjoyed!
I hope they enthrall and inspire
poets of all ages!
Lovingly Dedicated
to my daughter, Jools,
and my son, Ari,
the first to bring
these poems to life;
and to my friends
Ramona and Karla,
for their persistent
encouragement and support.
In Loving Memory
of my godson and nephew,
Chico (1976-2021),
who would have enjoyed
this book.
The Invisible Line
My sister and I
share a room
That’s ten and four
by more feet
square.
She’s twice my age,
and thrice my weight
And ever,
oh ever so nasty.
A piece of thread,
or a speck of dust
(believe it or not)
is quite enough
to drive her crazy.
Some time during
our wonderful days
together, She contrived
a solution to her plight.
