Introduction
I see people walking, hear voices of neighbours, see the seasons change, and watch the city I live in grow. All these images occur and evoke words in me which I must write. My thoughts flow from life experience into lines, which compose poems all of themselves; because I yearn to be bring them into being.
Within these poems I reflect the people and occasions that bled from life onto my page. What they mean is what they evoke in you. These are a collection of thoughts and images that resonate with me and I hope these poems resonate with you.
All We Had
i woke in the morning to cold and dark
like being reborn again
i woke and felt the chill air
caress my shivering skin
Franz stretched and yawned and followed me
outside into the yard
there were mascara streaks on my face telling me in the night i had cried
i can’t recall what i had dreamed
only knew it was sweet it was sad
another night i dreamed of you
made me think of all we had
The Caribou
