PART ONE
The room was filled with the smell of desire. The man had never been with a woman that was such a sexual being. Just ten short months ago she had been almost afraid of her own feelings. The changes were staggering. Justine was nearly eight months pregnant, but she oozed sex from her ever changing body. Every time they were together, after a removal, Justine was insatiable.
The problem was two-fold; they were running out of students to remove and the baby. Justine didn't know whether her husband was the father or whether the baby was his. At all the other schools where he had played this game, he was able to stop before things got out of hand. Justine's sexuality was clouding his thinking. She loved eliminating students that fit the criteria for removal. The quiet minister's wife was gone replaced by the wild erotic woman that was kneeling in front of him.
"Justine, we need to talk. I think we should cool the game for a while."
"Do you want me to stop what I'm doing now?" Justine smiled as she brought him to the edge.
"I'm not talking about us, just the game." Nothing was said for quite some time.
"Okay, talk, Lowry." The lovers were wrapped together on the floor of the bedroom.
"I don't have any more students on my need to be removed list. You've sent me at least one a week for the last couple of months. If we let things settle down until after the baby is born, then we can create a new list of candidates for the game. We've spent so much time together that people are beginning to talk. I'm sure your husband knows that something is going on."
"My husband only knows what's happening at his church. He doesn't seem to notice me whether I'm there or not. I like the game and I love having you in me, so I say let's continue just as we have. I have a few potential targets for the game."
"Wait a minute, we've talked about picking the right targets. If we do it wrong, we could end up with a huge mess."
"Like the mess you're going to make." Justine started touching and stroking Lowry. Lowry realized that Justine was beyond his control, that he was just along for the ride.
As the couple reached their climax, a shadowy figure moved away from the window. The woman walked a block to where her Lincoln was parked. The car soon roared away from the curb.
The front of the elegant old house was under seize from an army of women. The women were all members of the Ladies Aid Society of the Evangelical Church of the Holy Waters. The house was the home of Mrs. Ardis Leslie. The Leslie's were one of the founding families of the Evangelical Church of the Holy Waters. Mrs. Leslie's nearly one hundred-year-old home had hosted the Lady’s Aid Society for nearly as long as the Church had been in town. None of the members of the Society knew why this emergency meeting had been called. Betty Leslie, Mrs. Leslie's daughter was shepherding the group into the large formal dining room. Betty seemed more like a servant than a daughter. Betty was a tall attractive woman that was almost a polar opposite of her mother. The members of the congregation loved Betty, but feared Mrs. Leslie. Betty gathered coats, purses, and made sure all the guests had refreshments before the meeting started.
"Everyone, please come to order. Let's stand and open the meeting with a prayer." Ardis Leslie held out her hands to the women next to her and everyone soon followed her lead. The group recited the Lord's Prayer. "Please sit and I'll start the meeting. Any old news to dispose of before we start?"
"No, mother, nothing at this time." Betty was the recorder for the group.
"I know that your all wondering why I've called this emergency meeting." The group started talking amongst each other as Mrs. Leslie waited to drop her bombshell. Loudly, Mrs. Leslie cleared her throat. The members stopped talking and as a group turned their eyes towards their host.
"I don't want to sugarcoat what I'm about to discuss with all of you, so I'll be as plain as I can. It has come to my attention that the Rev. Lewis's wife Justine is bringing shame and ridicule upon our community. I have it on good authority that Justine is having a scandalous affair with the Vice-Principle of the high school. We as a group must defend our Christian values and protect the good name of the Church."
"How do you know that Ms. Lewis is having an affair? Who is this source?" Paula Johnson wasn't one to take anything at face value.
"I can't give you my source, but trust me the source is a good Christian that was appalled by what she saw."
"What are you suggesting we do about this information?"
"I believe that we as a group must confront our pastor and make him punish his wife as the sinner that she is. I also say that if the matter isn't dealt with we may need a new pastor."
"That seems rather harsh. We don't have anything but the word of your unnamed source. Maybe we should talk to Rev. Lewis and see what he says." The group broke out into a lively discussion about the charges. There didn't seem to be a consensus about how to proceed.
"Come to order, come to order. I think that it might be a good idea to send a delegation to talk to Rev. Lewis and try to work something out."
"That sounds good to me. Rev. Lewis is the best pastor I've seen in all my years here." many of the women felt the same way about the young pastor.
After the women left, Betty began pacing in the front sitting room. "My goodness daughter, but what is troubling you?"
"Mother, I think that you need to talk to Rev. Lewis before the delegation meets with him. You are the most influential member of the congregation, so you might be able to help him see the way to fix this scandal."
"Maybe you're right. I do need to see him about some church business. I could bring up this sordid issue in our talks."
"Thank you, Momma, that eases my mind. I think that I'll go to bed early tonight." Betty kissed her mother and headed to her room. Ardis Leslie sat for a long time worried about her daughter. Betty never went to bed this early and certainly didn't involve herself into the messier parts of the church.
PART TWO
“Marie, I’ve been looking all over for you.”
“Well it’s lunch time and we’ve sat in this same spot for three years, maybe this would have been a good place to start your search.”
“Very funny, I meant that you know, you know, you know,” Suzy stammered.
“No, I don’t know, so slow down and tell me.” Suzy could get so excited over the littlest happening at school. It always took a few moments to let her decompress and spit the information out. The lunchroom sounded like a beehive with noise and activity. Suzy had been my best friend since third grade. She had appeared one day, and we became friends almost instantly. The other kids called her Silly Suzy, but not to her face. She was too nice to hurt her feelings, but she had earned her nickname with an amazing array of circumstances that happened to her through no fault of her own. The frantic look was passing from her face. She would soon be able to tell me her news.
“I heard some weird news about Ms. Lewis’s class this morning. You remember Bert Anderson?”
“Yeah, I’ve known Bert since first grade.”
“That’s right. Well it seems that Ms. Lewis kicked Bert out of her class today.”
“So, she kicks someone out almost every week.”
“Not like this. Cathy Morgan says it was appalling, gross, and hilarious all at the same time.” Suzy seemed to lose her train of thought for a moment before continuing. “Ms. Lewis was going over the book reports that we turned in on Friday. I hope I got a good grade because I don’t want to mess up my grade point average. Yeah, back to today, it seems that Bert isn’t doing very well in school since his parents split up. His grades have dropped, and people claimed he seemed lost at times.”
“I hate to interrupt you, but that’s pretty normal to freak out when your parents split up. I still feel crappy sometimes thinking about my mom. Maybe you could speed it up we only have thirty minutes before our next class.”
“Very funny, okay, I guess that Ms. Lewis started riding Bert pretty hard telling him that he was disgusting. And then she told him that she wanted him out of her class. Bert stood up and asked what she was talking about? She told him right in front of the class that she saw him picking his nose. Cathy said that Bert got really angry and yelled that he never picked his nose, but he didn’t need any shit from an old hag like her. Cathy said Ms. Lewis started to sputter yelling at Bert to get out of her class and never return. As Bert walked towards the door he stopped and announced that if she was going to call him a nose picker in front of the whole world he’d give her what she wanted. Do you know what he did next?”
“I can’t imagine.”
“He stuck his finger in his nose and pulled out a huge green booger and flicked it on Ms. Lewis.”
“Maybe he had been pushed too far. He’s a nice guy. I can’t understand why some of these teachers aren’t a littl
