Payal Gidwani Tiwari is one of the most famous fitness and yoga experts of Bollywood. Her clients include Sridevi and Boney Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Sanjay and Karisma Kapoor, Rani Mukherji, Saif Ali Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Neelam Kothari, Susanne Roshan, Shaheen Abbas, Farah Khan, Vaibhavi Merchant, Shailendra Singh, Raju Manwani, Roopa Vohra, Divya Kohli, Rashmi Nigam, Shaana Dia, Jacqueline Fernandez, Malaika Arora Khan, Tusshar Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Amrita Arora Ladak, Laila Khan, Tulip Joshi, Maria Goretti, Zoa Morani, Priya Dutt, Poorna Patel, Sonakshi Sinha, Dr Vijay Mallya, and Siddhart Malhotra.

I love yoga. I do it to keep my mind calm and my body healthy. To feel good and stay happy. Since centuries, yoga is known as a good therapy for the mind, body, and soul. I feel there is nothing better than yoga to cope with today s demanding lifestyle. Not only do you feel positive when you do it, you also tend to think positive and glow from within.
I have been doing yoga since the past twelve years and I have become addicted to it. If I don t do it for even a day I feel I am missing something. It has become an inseparable part of my life. Yoga has also made me more energetic. I feel happy and healthy, and my body has become more flexible. I feel it is very important to be dedicated and do yoga regularly if you want to make the most of it. You have to be disciplined and take out the time. Introduction
The journey continues
I have been doing yoga for more than a decade now and it is a way of life for me. Yoga as we know is an ancient form of meditation; an awareness practice that synchronizes the body, mind and breath. The word yoga is derived from the Sanskrit word yuj , which means to unify or to yoke . The practice has numerous physical and psychological benefits including improved strength, muscle tone, flexibility and joint mobility; better sleep, enhanced feelings of wellbeing, and relief from stress, anxiety and depression. Weight loss is the by-product of practicing yoga. The unique quality of yoga is that it works on the mind as well as the body and helps you stay focused on your goals. I learnt yoga from the most accomplished teachers, started Cosmic Fusion, my yoga studio where I continue to teach my students, and wrote From XL to XS , my debut book which was a smashing success thanks to my readers. In between I had a baby, gained weight, lost weight, and continue to practice yoga not only to keep my body slim but also to stay healthy and active.
Why does yoga hold an important place in my life? Well, to start with, it has been a life changing experience for me. It has helped me connect with my inner self that is so important in today s life. My tryst with yoga has continued over the years and with each passing year I feel the bond getting stronger. Moreover, I met my husband Manish, also a yoga teacher, during a yoga class and that was the icing on the cake. It has been an amazing journey and you all have been an important part of it. I am thankful to all my readers who read my book and to those who found the time to write to me sharing their stories, problems and seeking advice.
