I was able to do seventeen pull-ups, which was my max number. I was shocked, but SEAL told me to stay there until I did a hundred.

I was training to be a SEAL, and my instructor told me I could not do a hundred pull-ups. I did one and dropped to the ground. I took another lap around the gym and was back to the pull-up bar. I did another one and dropped.

My mom was a hard-ass who didn’t allow me to eat cheeseburgers, ice cream, and Oreo cookies. However, she was also a very loving mother who didn’t want me to be the lab rat in case of fluoride and X-ray machines.

I got my creativity from my dad, but the part of me that would grow up to hire a Navy SEAL came from Mom.
