#1

The Apocalypse is a story that can be told in five acts. In the first act, five nations emerge: Israel, Europe, Russia, Babylon, and America. The regathering of the Jewish people back to their homeland is predicted time and again as a precursor to the end times.

#2

The birth of Israel was a pivotal moment in human history. In the past seven decades, this tiny nation with a population of 8. 5 million has become the geopolitical center of the world.

#3

The story of Israel begins in the book of Genesis. The almighty God of heaven and earth made a binding covenant with Abraham, who was to be the father of the Jewish nation.

#4

The covenant between God and Abraham was unconditional, and it was not subject to amendment or annulment. It was made without conditions, and God would fulfill it in His time.

#5

God’s covenant with Abraham was that he would give his descendants the land of Israel, and that Abraham would become extremely wealthy. Abraham’s name was made great by God, and he was highly respected and feared throughout the land.

#6

Israel is a great nation today, but the Millennium will reveal its ultimate greatness. Israel has withstood continuing Arab attacks, wars, boycotts, and terrorism, and it has reduced social, educational, and health gaps between Arabs and Jews.

#7

The land promised to Abraham and his descendants was described with clear geographical boundaries. It takes in all the land from the Mediterranean Sea as the western boundary to the Euphrates River as the eastern boundary.

#8

The nations that stand in the way of Israel’s well-being will find themselves standing against God, which means they will not long stand at all. The nations that bless Israel will be blessed by God.

#9

The Jewish people have been through a lot, and yet they continue to persevere. Today, another regime has arisen to destroy Israel, and it should be aware that Israel stands at the graves of all its enemies.

#10

The overarching reason for all the promises God has made to Abraham is to bless the entire world through his descendants. This is the root of God’s promise to Abraham and His purpose in creating a new people for himself.

#11

The promise to Abraham was an everlasting promise because it was based on the grace and sovereignty of almighty God. There may be delays, postponements, and chastisements, but an eternal covenant cannot be abrogated by a God who cannot deny himself.

#12

The Bible tells us that God chose the Jews because it was His sovereign purpose to do so. It was not because Israel was more numerous than other people in the world, or more sensitive to God than other nations, but because it was His purpose to do so.

#13

The return of the Jews to their land is the first stage in their regathering, but it does not fulfill the requirements of a spiritual return to the Lord. The numerous prophecies concerning Israel’s return to its homeland were explicitly fulfilled in 1948 when Israel began to be restored to its land.

#14

The return of the Jews to their homeland is significant in another way: it pinpoints where we are on history’s timeline. As Milton B. Lindberg points out, Without the existence of the nation of Israel, we would not be able to say with certainty that we are in the last days.

#15

The playing out of prophetic events concerning Israel also places us in the last days of history’s timeline. The miraculous survival of God’s covenant people, the Jews, demonstrates God’s ability to accomplish His purpose in the face of what seem to be impossible odds.

#16

The most comprehensive prophetic insight ever received was given to Daniel, who was also the most powerful man in the world at the time. His vision operated as a sign of what we can expect to happen in Europe before and during the end times.

#17

God gave the greatest vision of all time not only to Daniel, but also to one of history’s most wicked Gentile rulers: King Nebuchadnezzar. The king’s dream was about the kingdoms of this world, and Daniel explained that the metallic image represented four successive Gentile world powers that would rule over Israel in the days ahead.

#18

The fourth empire in the statue’s legs is the Roman Empire, which was established fifty years before Jesus’ birth and continued throughout His ministry. It was Roman rule that put Jesus on the cross.

#19

The statue’s legs represent the Roman Empire’s two political areas of rule: the Latin-speaking West with its capital in Rome, and the Greek-speaking East with its capital in Constantinople, which included the land of Israel. The statue’s feet and toes represent a fifth and final kingdom that will exist when God sets up His earthly kingdom.

#20

The fourth beast, representing the Roman Empire, was different from all the previous beasts. It had huge iron teeth and was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It was fearsome and terrible.

#21

The future Roman Empire will be a coalition of ten world leaders, and it will encompass the same territory as the historic Roman Empire. Today, we see that coalition taking shape before our eyes.

#22

The European Union is made up of three bodies: the European Parliament, the Council of European Union, and the European Commission. The Parliament consists of 751 elected members who pass laws in conjunction with the Council.

#23

The fourth beast in Daniel’s second vision represents the fourth kingdom after Babylon, which is the Roman Empire. Today, the European Union is the beginning of this new world order.

#24

The European Union is a prelude to the coming of the Antichrist. It will be the final world dictator, and it will seek to enslave its citizens.

#25

The Antichrist will sign a peace treaty with Israel, and this treaty will last for a week—in prophetic terms, a week of years or seven years. After three and a half years, the treaty will be broken, and the countdown to Armageddon will begin.

#26

The prophetic clock is moving toward its final strike. We must not wait until it is too late to prepare ourselves for the events that will take place. The warning has been sounded, and we must heed it.

#27

Putin’s history with the Russian KGB explains his aggressive takeover of Crimea in 2015. He has been driven by his determination to restore Russia to its former glory since at least 1991, when he retired from the KGB.

#28

After the Cold War, Russia was kept at bay by American military might and strong Western alliances. But now, in the absence of American will and the collapse of order in the Middle East, what will keep Russia from rising again.

#29

The prophet Ezekiel prophecies about the invasion of Israel by the nations of Gog and Magog. Gog is the leader of the armies that will invade Israel, and God commands him to be a guard for these nations.

#30

The nations named in the prophecy are: Magog, Meshech and Tubal, Persia, Ethiopia, Libya, and Gomer, which some believe represents modern Germany.

#31

The nations that will form a coalition and attack Israel are Russia, Turkey, Iran, Sudan, and Libya. They will be joined by Germany from the west in the form of a revived European coalition.

#32

The invasion will be to take Israel’s land and wealth, as well as to slaughter its people. The Russian army will seek to cover the land like a cloud, to cover Israel’s people and destroy them.

#33

Ezekiel 38:8 says that Israel will be the target of the Russian coalition. This makes Ezekiel’s prophecy even more amazing because Israel is one of the smallest nations on earth.

#34

The third condition that will be in place before the Russian invasion is peace. Israel will be extremely wealthy and the envy of its neighbors, and it will have returned to its original land.

#35

The time of the Russian invasion of Israel is when Israel will be at its most vulnerable. It will come after Israel has returned to its homeland, become highly prosperous, and after the seven-year peace treaty with the Antichrist.

#36

When all hope for Israel’s survival is lost, God will intervene. He will use the evil tendencies of the invading armies to goad them into attacking Israel so He can execute His judgment against them for their history of human oppression.

#37

The vultures and scavengers that God will invite to devour the bodies of the fallen invaders will leave a residue of bones and other inedible parts. It will be necessary for the Israelis to bury what the scavengers leave.

#38

The one thing that stands out in Ezekiel 38–39 is the sovereignty of God. He is in control, and He will orchestrate the destruction of Russia to demonstrate to His people, Israel, that He is their God and worthy of their trust.

#39

The Titanic was a luxury liner that was launched in 1912. It was the largest and most magnificent ship ever built. The first-class dining room served ten-course dinners. The Titanic was touted to be unsinkable, thus it carried only twenty lifeboats, a fraction of the sixty-four needed to evacuate its 2,228 passengers.

#40

Babylon is the second most frequently mentioned city in the Bible. It was the site of the Tower of Babel, man’s first attempt to establish a world order devoid of God’s influence. It was also the center of a financial world order that will dominate the Tribulation period.

#41

The book of Revelation reveals that when the Antichrist takes control of world government, his administration will be divided among three power centers. Rome will be his political base, Jerusalem will be his control center for religion, and Babylon will become his financial and economic hub.
