R ight at the top of the highest of mountains, cradled in a huge nest perched between the rocks, lived Snowflake, a newborn colt. Like his ancestor Pegasus, and like his parents and grandparents before him, he had two wings on his back. He just needed time to let them grow and soon he would be able to fly. Each morning, Snowflake stood up on his now sturdy legs. He tried to flap his wings, but they were still too weak to carry him.
