NOTES ON CONTRIBUTORS

Carlous Muluh Nkwetisama is senior lecturer of English and English Language Education at University of Maroua in Cameroon. He holds a Ph.D. in English Language Education studies from the University of Yaoundé I in Cameroon. His current research interests include ELT, Language teaching and global concerns (governance, environmental, health and peace education, culture and globalisation) and multilingualism. He has published severally and widely in the USA, Finland, Australia, Canada and Cameroon on themes like EFL/ESL and Environmental Education; The Competency Based Approach to English Language Education; Globalisation and English Language Education in Cameroon; English Language Teaching and Global Education; Climate Change in the English Language Classroom; and in this volume, ELT and Peace Education: Handling Linguistic Xenophobia in Cameroon within the Framework of Global Education; and The Inclusion of Human Rights in English Language Classroom Practices. He is also reviewer and editorial board member of several international scientific journals worldwide, like in theInternational Journal of Applied Linguistics and English Literature; Journal of Language Sciences and Linguistics; Journal of English Language and Literature. He has held posts of responsibility such as Head of Department of English in the Faculty of Letters and Social Sciences in the University of Maroua; and Head of Division for Personnel in the Administrative Affairs Office of the University of Bamenda.

Gilbert Tarka Fai is a senior lecturer of literature and Pedagogy. He has taught in several Universities in Cameroon including the Universities of Douala, Dschang, Maroua, and Bamenda. He is presentlyHead of Division for Administration and Finance (DAF)the Higher Institute of Transport and in Logistics (HITL), University of Bamenda. Reviewer in some renowned journals and Advisory Board Member of EPITOME JOURNALS, he belongs to a good number of research clubs. His articles (some as book chapters) have featured in prominent national and international publications. Some of his creative works are in the process of being published.

Afutendem Lucas Nkwetta,is a lecturer in the Department ofApplied Foreign Languages of the Faculty of Letters and Social Sciences of the University of DschangCameroon. His research focus include Applied Linguistics (Educational Technology) and English Phonology, English Media and Culture. His publications include:“Integrating Health into language Curriculum in Multilingual Contexts: the case of Scientific English in Medical Faculties in Cameroon”.Intel’Actuel.Revue de Lettres et Sciences Humaines, No. 12, 2013, pp. 6581; and“Community Radio and Health Development in

Nforbin Gerald Nibawas educated at the University of Yaounde I where he obtained his BA, MA and DEA. He later studied in Justus Liebzig University, GiessenGermany where he obtained a Ph.D in Literary and Cultural Studies. Since 2000, he has lectured in literary and cultural studies at the the university of DoualaCameroon. Mforteh Stephen AmbeAssociate Professor in the University of Yaounde I. He has published in these areas: Sociolinguistics, Discourse Analysis, Pragmatics, Stylistics, and Cultural Studies. He has copublished two books, one in the area of language teaching, and the other in the area of sociolinguistics. A third one is expected to be published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing Co. He has several book chapters and peer reviewed articles to his credit. Munoh Adeline Ajeckis holder of a M.A in sociolinguistics and a Doctorate Student of the University of Yaounde 1. Perpetua Kininla Lola Nkamanyang,born in Mbiame, in the North West Region of Cameroon, senior lecturer at the University of Douala, obtained her Ph.D from JustusLiebigUniversity, Giessen, in Germany (2008), and worked as Research Assistant for the International Graduate Centre for the Study of Culture which she joined since 2007. Her teaching/core research areas include poetry, Narrative and Culture, Memory Cultures, Identity, Gender, and Post Colonial Studies. She has published on Kafka, Byron’s poetry, and is currently working on a genderbased project funded by Forum for African Women Educationalists. Her edited playtextThe Lock on my Lipsdue publication is (2012). Mbuh Mbuh Tennu is Associate Professor of Literatures in English and author of several literary works includingShadow of My Country,The Death of AsoboNtsi. He currently heads the department of English in the University of Bamenda.

Judith Shula Wirngoa teacher and researcher. She obtained her is ‘Maitrise’ Degree in Negro African Literature in 2008 in the University of Yaounde I, Master II in Commonwealth Literary Studies in 2013, in the University of Maroua, where she is carrying out her Ph.D research work in the same field. She is equally a Graduate Assistant Lecturer in the Department of English (FLSS) Maroua since 2014/2015 academic year.

Gilbert T. Safotsoa Senior Lecturer of English Language and Applied is Linguistics (Phonologist). He taught English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and English language teaching at the Higher Teacher Training College, Maroua for

five years. He is currently teaching in the Department of English, University of Maroua, Cameroon. His research interests include English phonology, EAP, English language teaching, Applied Linguisticcs and New Englishes. Gilbert Safotso is the editorial board member ofInternational Journal of English Linguistics,Studies in English Language Teaching,International Journal of Language Teaching and Research, and has published widely in Europe America and Canada on Cameroon Francophone English phonology, Cameroon English, EAP, and ELT. His books includeLiving in Turbulence, Merlin Books Ltd (1993),Bandjoun:UnPeuple, une Civilisation, CRAC (1995),A Study of the Phonological Features of Cameroon Francophone English, Scholars’ Press (2015),Pour Mieux Comprendre nos Rites et Coutumes, Presses Académiques Francophones (2015),Petits Chants de Joie,Lupeppo (2015).

Baissana Talbais an English language teacher, a graduateassistant lecturer in the Department of English in the Faculty of Letters and Social Sciences, and a Ph. D candidate at the Doctoral College of the University of Maroua. His field of research is English language curriculum development and implementation and global concerns in education in general.

Kikoh Ntoban Cosmasis a PhD candidate in the University of Maroua. He is at the same time a graduate assistant in the Department of English of The Faculty of Letters and Social Sciences in the same institution. His area of specialization is commonwealth literary studies. Before moving to the university, he has been teaching in high schools for five years.

Ngounjo Bandais a holder of a Master degree in Commonwealth literature from the University of Maroua where he is a Ph D candidate. He has also held teaching positions in many institutions across the country. He is presently the head of the English department in GTHS Maroua.

Wirba Ibrahim Mainimois presently Senior Lecturer of African Literature at The University of Bamenda. He has held various administrative positions: first as Head of Department of English of the Faculty of Arts, Letters and Social Sciences of the University of Ngaoundere, then as Head of Teaching and Teaching Staff Division of the University of Bamenda. His research interests include: African/Diaspora literatures, black feminist literature and literary theory/criticism, canonicity and postcoloniality. His publications have appeared in both local and international journals.

Derick J. Mbunganga Ph.D. candidate in the department of English, is University of Yaounde. He is presently Assistant Lecturer in the Department of English of the Higher Teacher’s Training College (HTTC) Bambili, University of Bamenda. His areas of interest are Postcolonial and African American literatures.

Agbor Tabe Nicoline(epse)Ojageholds a PhD in English Language from the University of Yaounde 1. Currently, she is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Bilingual Letters of the Higher Teachers’ Training College of the University of Maroua where she teaches the ELT courses and Grammar and Lexicology courses. She is also the coordinator of the official Bilingual Training Unit of the above institution and also teaches Professional English to students of the Institute of Mining and Petroleum Industries of the same University. Before now she has been a part time lecturer of the University of Yaoundé I where she taught courses such as Speech and Usage, Written and Spoken English and the Bilingual Training course under the Departments of Bilingual Studies, English and The Faculty of Science respectively. Her areas of research are: ELT, Lexicology and Sociolinguistics and her scholarly publications have appeared in both national and the international journals.

Prosper A. Ntambo Ntambo holds a Master degree in Commonwealth Literature Studies. He is currently a Ph.D student of the Unniversity of Maroua and is a graduate teaching assistant at the Department of English, Faculty of Letters and Social Sciences in the same institution. His research interest involves disapora literature, postcolonial studies and the relationship between literature and juispudence. EyongTiku E.Eis a doctorate student at the University of Maroua. He is an educationalist in English and Literatures of English Expression. He is carrying out research in Commonwealth Literatures. His research interest involves Sexuality Studies, Postcolonial dilemmas and Christian Missionary Activitis. He is presently working on imaginary landscapes in postcolonial states.
