Deuteronomy means "second law", and in this book, the laws given to the Israelite people by Moses are re-stated and renewed for the second generation who were allowed to enter the Promised Land. This is the final book of the Torah and was primarily authored by Moses, although the last chapters relate the transition of leadership from Moses to Joshua, and Moses' death atop Mt. Nebo. Throughout Deuteronomy, the prominent hope of a second chance, and a renewal of their covenant with God, reassures the Israelites that they will not repeat the sins of their forefathers. British narrator Christopher Glyn, who draws on 35 years experience as a Christian narrator and broadcaster to bring you this expressive reading which captures the beauty and power of God's Word and makes the King James English clear and easy to understand.
