The Spanish forward signs a 4 year contract with VCF
Valencia Club de Fútbol have reached an agreement with SL Benfica for the purchase of footballer Rodrigo Moreno, who has signed a four-year contract with Valencia CF through to 30th June, 2019. The Spanish international, on loan at the club in 2014/15, now joins the club on a permanent deal.
Rodrigo, who played 31 official matches in his first season for the club, is very pleased with this next step in his career and to be staying at Mestalla. He stated after the signing: "After a year in Valencia I feel very happy and eager to get better every day. Now we have to focus on the Champions League qualifying stage and on getting through to the group stage. I have been fortunate enough to play in that competition with Benfica, and now I want to do the same with Valencia CF."
Looking ahead to the 2015/16 campaign, the striker said: "My ultimate goal is to help Valencia CF to be a better team, to achieve all the club’s sporting goals and, above all, be a very competitive side. Individually, I hope to have more luck in front of goal, but I'm sure that with daily work in training everything will go well. Also, with the help of the fans who have been so impressive throughout the year, I’m sure we will go very far."
