From opening the curtains to a bribe over breakfast, the challenge of getting kids awake and ready for school is never over. A recent survey conducted by designer childrens bedroom furniture company, Feather & Black, reveals the UK's top five favourite ways to get kids out of bed! A massive 41% of British parents say opening the curtains to let daylight in is the best way to get kids awake on time.Moreover, 7% of British families confess that a splash of water gets kids up pronto. It seems a shock approach is the most popular wake-up tactic for the British household! Britain'sfamily favourites for waking up the kids: 1. Openthe curtains (41%) 2. Alarm(24%) and breakfast (24%) 3. Splashof water (7%) 4. Bribe(3%)
Dads' are more likely to shock children awake with a splash of water, with 10% admitting this, compared to just 5% of mums. Interestingly, when it comes to age groups 27% of British parents aged 35-54 say setting an alarm is the best way to get the kids up, with 21% of those aged 55+ agreeing with this.
