Could Digital Drugs Boost Your Health, Make you More Confident or Improve Your Sleep? PR Newswire LONDON, December 6, 2012 LONDON, December 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- You can't see, touch or taste them, but the latest app technology means you can now hear them. Digital drugs are the latest alternative to the traditional pill bottle. Digipill, a FREE new app, officially launched (7th December 2012) and available for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch, uses psychoacoustics to help you unlock your subconscious and change your perception. Use of psychoacoustics is not new. Early experiments were carried out in 1839 by Prussian scientist H.W. Dove. More recently Dr Raymer Ditson-Sommer has worked with Olympic athletes to see how audio can improve sporting performance by helping to retain focus, for example, or by building adrenaline before competing. Now, after a culmination of 20 years of research, leading NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) expert Brian Colbert and London-based app developer, YUZA, have teamed up to deliver digital drugs to the masses in the form of Digipill. Digipill takes commonly desired behavioural changes such as relaxation, confidence, or losing weight, and delivers a powerful audio 'pill' designed to help the user address them. Each digipill uses sophisticated production techniques developed by internationally recognised 'mind coach' Brian Colbert, a leading expert of language and NLP.

Could Digital Drugs Boost Your Health, Make you More Confident or Improve Your Sleep?
PR Newswire LONDON, December 6, 2012
LONDON,December 6, 2012/PRNewswire/ --
You can't see, touch or taste them, but the latest app technology means you can now hear them.
Early experiments were carried out in 1839 by Prussian scientistH.W. Dove. More recently Dr Raymer Ditson-Sommer has worked with Olympic athletes to see how audio can improve sporting performance by helping to retain focus, for example, or by building adrenaline before competing.
Now, after a culmination of 20 years of research, leading NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) expertBrian Colbert and London-based app developer, YUZA, have teamed up to deliver digital drugs to the masses in the form of Digipill.
Digipill takes commonly desired behavioural changes such as relaxation, confidence, or losing weight, and delivers a powerful audio 'pill' designed to help the user address them.
Each digipill uses sophisticated production techniques developed by internationally recognised 'mind coach'Brian Colbert, a leading expert of language and NLP.
Just think - specific music can make you feel happy, reflective, or even excited before a night out. This natural auditory phenomenon has been studied and is now harnessed by Digipill to help make a real difference to people's lives.
Richard Skaife CEO of YUZA,"Following the success of our Dream:ON project, the challenge was on to find a way to change our day-to-day lives as well as our dream s. Working with Brian Colbert to deliver the Digipill app has been fascinating; he has been at the forefront of N LP and behavioural change techniques for many years. We are confident users will see real and lasting change using our latest app."
Brian Colbert said,"Each Digipill has been uniquely formulated using specific blends of sound and language to gently engage and activate more of the mind. This m akes it easier to bring about change, build new habits, and promote an overall sense of wellbeing."
The Digipill app delivers a range of fast and effective 'pills', all of which can be downloaded and taken with you wherever you go - which means you're never far away from help and, of course, you never run out of pills.
Digipill is designed to be used when fully awake and induces a state of very deep relaxation. It is strongly recommended, therefore, that the app should not be used when driving or operating machinery.
Many of the pills available have been specifically created to help with stress, anxiety, and that general run down feeling so there is no better time than the run up to Christmas to feel the full benefits of this new combination of psychological and technical research.
Digipill isfreeto download and comes with a free pill - prescribed for relaxation - to try out.
Available pills include; 'Sleep Deeply'for a night of rest,'Slim to Thin'for motivation in quitting a habit, and'Babe-' and'Man Magnet'- pills designed to build your self confidence. The'Trance Tripping'pill even helps to recreate natural highs not unlike that of some physical pills.
A full list of pills and frequently asked questions can be found ondigipill.com.
Digipill is currently available for iPad, iPad mini, iPhone, and iPod touch.

About Digipill and digital drugs
Digital drugs have been written about in the past by the BBC and leading technology journals such as W ired.
Early digital drugs, often referred to as 'binaural beats' were the basis of a 2005University of South Florida study on whether sound could improve focus among children and young adults with ADHD. Results were inconclusive.
There are no 'binaural beats' used in Digipill. Instead, the app uses completely unique psychoacoustic techniques carefully crafted into audio 'pills' which typically play for between 20 to 40 minutes - although the intended effects can last much longer.
