• Perfect addition:Berlin-based PressMatrix technology makes the reading experience interactive
The Deutsche Post AG (DPAG) has continually been at the forefront of innovation during the digital age. Now the international logistics company is set to expand its own 'ContentConverter ADVANCED' (http://www.contentconverter.de) - a fully automated HTML5-based solution for converting printed materials into digital content - with the additional solution based on publishing technology from PressMatrix. The Berliner company PressMatrix (http://www.pressmatrix.de) has developed a platform that allows publishers to offer a swift way to deliver PDF-based digital publications to iPad and Android users, enriched with interactive HTML5 elements such as videos, slideshows and mCommerce features. "We have been an important partner to the publishing industry for a long time, so it was only a logical step to speed up the digitization of newspapers, magazines and catalogs," says Lutz Glandt, member of the MAIL Divisional Board at Deutsche Post AG. "With the expansion of our 'ContentConverter' using PressMatrix's existing platform, we have been able to enhance our product with an attractive solution; numerous interactive elements such as video and audio make digital editions a very unique reading experience," Glandt adds. As a result, the Deutsche Post AG enables publishers to generate additional revenue, as the 'ContentConverter' is now able to reach millions of iPad and Android tablet users. Since 2009, the swift and fully automated solution from PressMatrix has been adopted by more than 130 partners acrossEurope, including publications such as the business magazines "Capital", "impulse" and "Business Punk" from the printing and publishing house Gruner + Jahr AG & Co. KG. "We are very pleased, that the Deutsche Post AG has chosen our technology as a white label solution to digitize their customers' publications," said Daniel Hoepfner, co-founder and CEO of PressMatrix. "We are excited that the first customers are already working with the software and take advantage of our feature-rich technology.
