Leading in-flight entertainment provider launches a history of the IFE industry,

dating back from 1921 to the present day, on popular social media platform.

has produced the first 'History of the IFE Industry' on Facebook.

This unique and comprehensive timeline begins in 1921 when the first in-flight

movie, 'Howdy Chicago', premiered on an Aeromarine Airways flight as the

amphibious airplane flew around the city of

The timeline includes major milestones in the IFE industry such as the first in-

flight movies played on projectors, the launch of in-seat headsets, the

development of the first audio visual on-demand (AVOD) system, the

introduction of in-seat power and the first ever live TV programme to appear
