"Caught somewhere between Tetris and Sudoku," (BBC) the concept of KooZac is simple: position the falling number blocks on top of each other to create a target number. Complete a set amount of target numbers to destroy the silver blocks and finish each level. KooZac has been fully re-imagined for iOS touch- screen devices, offering users three simple ways to play, an easily accessible interface, and boosts to enhance the gaming experience. Devised by Ben Cusack, the game has racked up over 15 million plays online and picked up a Channel 4 "Best International Interactive Viral" award. With the original concept created following years of research into what makes an evergreen puzzle game, in 2011 Square Enix moved to acquire the KooZac license, and also hired Ben Cusack in the process to ramp-up its mobile offering.
