The performance Autumn Is So Lovely opened the night. Its author Zinaida Lihacheva combined the culture of modern Ukraine with its historical heritage in a wholesome theatrical performance featuring individually designed ethnic Ukrainian clothing and accessories. "Tonight allowed everyone in attendance to feel the rays of the sun of our Ukrainian culture," shared Lihacheva.

Classical music session continued the gala. Phenomenal Myroslav Skoryk with an orchestra, the talented Bohdana Pivnenko and other Ukrainian artists enthralled the audience with their inspired performances. The ethnic part of the night culminated in electric show by well-known Ukrainian folk rock musician Oleh Skrypka and Ukrainian folk project Le Grand Orchestra.

The Days of Ukraine in the UK (October 17-19, 2013) is a cultural event that provides first-hand Ukraine experience to the guests of the Days. It is estimated that about 100,000 people will attend various events within the Days. Besides the gala opening, the program of the Days features a literary night dedicated to both classic and contemporary Ukrainian literature, a Ukrainian art exhibit, and a fashion show by some of the most successful Ukrainian designers.

"If you are looking for a one-stop shop for all things Ukrainian however, day three of the festival looks like the pick of the bunch," advises the London Evening Standard. An ethnic festival will become the final event in the Days of Ukraine in the UK program. The visitors of the festival at Potters Field Park will have an opportunity to try Ukrainian cuisine, play traditional Cossack games, as well as pick some souvenirs and gifts among Ukrainian crafts presented at the fair on site.

The Days of Ukraine in the UK were organized by the Firtash Foundation and held under the auspices of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych. The Mayor of London Boris Johnson also endorsed the initiative.
