Deeply moved he accepted the25,000 Europrize check that was donated by Rapunzel Naturkost. The OWA jury recognized his visionary commitment and his impressive achievements in promoting organic agriculture and the sustainable, rural development of the municipality of Dumingag and its associated 44 villages. "As mayor he is a perfect example of good governance in practice," said Vandana Shiva, Right Livelihood Award winner fromIndia. Nacianceno M.
