The purpose of the visit is the presentation of the final document of the V Astana Economic Forum - an Open letter for G20 countries' governments at the UN briefing, regarding the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20), with recommendations for improvement and development of the world economy, as well as discussion of hosting the World Anti-Crisis conference in Astana in May 2013. Besides the participants of V AEF, more than 70 experts from 40 countries prepared the Open Letter, with its recommendations for the G20 countries. More than 200 recommendations were received through the virtual G-Global communication platform. These recommendations include five key directions of Mexico's Chairmanship in the G-20 in 2012: 1. Economic stabilization and structural reforms as foundations for growth and employment. 2. Strengthening the financial system and fostering financial inclusion to promote economic growth. 3. Improving the international financial architecture in an interconnected world. 4. Enhancing food security and addressing commodity price volatility. 5. Promoting sustainable development, green growth and the fight against climate change.

Representatives of the Eurasian Economic Club of Scientists are on a business

prepared the Open Letter, with its recommendations for the G20 countries.
More than 200 recommendations were received through the virtual G-Global

In the course of the meeting, Serik Nugerbekov, First Deputy Chairman of the
Coordination Council of Eurasian Economic Club of Scientists, presented and
discussed the
Open Letter
with recommendations for G20 and
the Message
of the participants of the V Astana Economic Forum to the
UN Secretary
General Ban Ki-moon
. In this message, the participants from over 97
countries asked the UN to support the initiative to hold the World Anti-Crisis
Conference in Astana.
During the meeting with Ban Ki-moon, issues such as delivery of the AEF
Recommendations on the G20 Summit and Astana's hosting of the World Anti-
Crisis conference next year were discussed. In general, UN Secretary General
Ban Ki-moon and other senior UN officials noted the importance and relevance
of the recommendations, and expressed interest in holding the World Anti-Crisis
Conference.

Eurasian Economic Club of scientists, held meetings with

Marino, Special Representative for
Mexico's
G20 Presidency, to present and
discuss the AEF recommendations. During the meeting, Lourdes Aranda
expressed interest in holding a conference for the Eurasian region to discuss
the outcome of the Mexican presidency in G20 and the upcoming Russian
chairmanship in G20 in Astana (
Kazakhstan
) by results of the G20 summit in
Mexico
.
Additionally, a number of business meetings were conducted, including a
meeting with Jomo Kwame Sundaram, Assistant Secretary General, United
Nations Department for Social and Economic Affairs (DESA), G-20 Sherpa for
the Secretary General of UN, Alexander Trepelkov, Director, Department of
Finance of Millennium development goals, Robert Vos, Director of Development
Policy and Analysis Division of UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs,
and many others.
On
June 6
, several important meetings were held with Min Zhu, Deputy
Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Amar
Bhattacharya, Director of the Intergovernmental Group of Twenty-Four on
International Monetary Affairs and Development and with other high ranking
representatives of World Bank and FRS on discussion of AEF recommendations
and hosting World Anti-Crisis Conference in Astana.
