Today Standard & Poor's (S&P) reconfirmed BNG's triple A rating. The outlook is negative, in line with the outlook on the State of The Netherlands. BNG is also triple A rated by Moody's and by Fitch, confirming BNG's position as one of the world's highest rated banks.

On November 16, 2012 , following the potential of a more protracted downturn in The Netherlands and the wider Eurozone, S&P placed BNG's triple A rating on CreditWatch with negative implications. Today, following additional research, S&P removed BNG's ratings from CreditWatch negative.

BNG is the bank of and for local authorities and public sector institutions. The bank makes a sustainable contribution to minimizing the costs of social facilities for citizens.
