New analysis from Frost & Sullivan (http://www.energy.frost.com), South Africa Renewable Energy Project Tracker, finds that the REIPPP aims to generate 3,725 megawatt of the country's total electricity from renewable sources. RE accounted for less than one percent of the energy mix in South Africa in 2012 and this is expected to reach twelve percent in 2020. The commercial and industrial RE segment will grow rapidly in the medium to long term.
