Tuk Tuk Travels - Promoting new UK Charity and Driving Educational Awareness Through Celebrity-backed World Record Attempt PR Newswire LONDON, August 13, 2012 LONDON, August 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Two UK teachers travelling through over 50 countries in a tuk tuk promoting and advancing education Tuk Tuk Travels is in association with the new registered UK charity, The Tuk Tuk Educational Trust On 13 August 2012, two founders of The Tuk Tuk Educational Trust will begin the UK leg of their round the world expedition promoting and advancing education (Tuk Tuk Travels). Nick Gough and Rich Sears will be completing the journey in a tuk tuk (a small, open-sided, three-wheeled vehicle) and are expecting to set the world record for the longest journey in an auto-rickshaw at the same time. Throughout the expedition, the team will be visiting educational and developmental projects, conducting academic research and documenting the whole experience. By raising awareness of the challenge of improving global access to education during their trip, Tuk Tuk Travels is aiming to raise funds for grassroots, community based educational projects. As part of its innovative donation system, supporters of the charity will be able to assign contributions to unique ventures highlighted via short films shot and produced throughout the expedition.
