Vaadin Ltd. joins the newly formed GWT steering committee to deepen its

commitment to the technology used in its flagship product. Vaadin announced

that the upcoming version 7 of Vaadin Framework will include a full version of

GWT, is compatible with GWT and Vaadin commercial support is widened to

cover GWT based projects.

GWT and Vaadin are the two most popular technologies for building modern

web applications in Java. The developer communities of Vaadin and GWT have

been closely related since the introduction of GWT-based rendering in Vaadin in

2008. Including all of GWT in Vaadin makes this relation even tighter, makes

Vaadin a drop-in-replacement for GWT and lays a foundation for making the

development of rich cross device user experiences more productive than ever.
