Position Description:

The Senior Information Systems (IS) Analyst performs highly technical analyses of

major hardware and software systems. The Analyst is responsible for the design of complex automated

distributed systems to carry out the responsibilities and daily activities of the Office of Inspector General

(OIG). The Analyst uses initiative and resourcefulness in solving unusual problems and in developing new

procedures. The Analyst supports a wide range of technical projects in support of the OIG's information

technology requirements.

Requirements:

Requires a bachelor's degree in management information systems, computer science, or

related discipline. A minimum of five years experience in one or more network operating systems, and

network design and configuration experience. STRONGLY PREFER: Microsoft SharePoint server 2010,

Microsoft Windows server 2008 Active Directory (AD), Microsoft SQL Server 2008, Local Area Network

architectures, and Server Virtualization. The following dimension criteria will be used: analysis;

oral/written communication skills; planning/organizing/controlling; tolerance for stress; initiative;

organization sensitivity and customer service orientation. Expected to work unusual hours, including

weekends. Demonstrate strong working knowledge in Windows server 2008 Active Directory network

(AD), Microsoft Sharepoint server 2010, VMware server 4.x, Microsoft SQL Server 2008, TCP/IP,

Blackberry Enterprise Server, and E-Mail system. Works effectively as a team member and provide

excellent customer support to client users. Understands Federal Information Security Management Act

(FISMA) security requirements and make security recommendations for AD. Maintains the security and

the integrity of data systems. Must have or be able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
